Hello everyone, I just joined this site after poking around as a reader on and off for months so I could try a shot in the dark; but first and foremost, please don't offer advice like "get rid of some animals", thanks. We spent hundreds to move them miles across the country with us from California, they're family.
Dumping any of them is not an option. They're all fixed, we will NOT be getting any more animals, we would agree to a contract making us responsible for all damages, and we're willing to put down a pet fee refundable or not of up to a month's rent total for all 5. The animals are friendly, neat, healthy, vaccinated, well-behaved somewhat lazy , cared-for, and we are meticulous about disposing of waste NOT down the toilet!
We're trying to do anything we can to prove that we're worthy renters, and not useless, animal-hoarding, rent-evading slobs. This seems to be an uphill battle, despite all the hoops we're willing to jump through.
I've posted on Craigslist and Facebook groups with not even a single response. Does anyone here have, or know of, a place that would take a chance on us, even temporarily, so we can prove ourselves to be good renters and pet owners? We're both employed and have been since we got here 6 months ago. Credit score is around , due to some credit card debt, which has been paid down every month on time. We've been married 3 years. We've rented before, though not recently, and right now we're staying with a relative.
