Peter and his co-workers had caught nothing all night. They were washing their nets, probably discouraged at the lack of results that they had. Can you imagine how Peter must have felt? Here he was, an experienced fisherman, and Jesus, a carpenter, was telling him to cast his net into the deep.
Everything seemed to be going against Peter. Yet Peter is able to enter into a faith response to Jesus. Not only that, he is making this response in front of his fellow fishermen. What would they think? You and I are called by Jesus to not only act in faith, but to do so with a trust that Jesus is worthy of our obedience.

Trumpeter Chuck Seipp and organist Todd Fickley are two performers at the top of their craft. The concert starts at PM in the church and will be followed by a light reception. The event is free and open to the public. A free-will donation will be taken to support this and future concerts offered through the All Saints Sacred Music Concert Series.
