I live in the Zurich-Aargau area, and I was wondering if any members can recommend any good flying places for FPV and possibly racing? Finding somewhere suitable where FPVers are generally allowed to fly without upsetting someone is a bit challenging for me. Also a quick note about myself. I'm from the UK, but I've lived in Switzerland now for 15 years. I've been flying quads for 2 years now and especially enjoy FPV.
Hello I am also from Aargau, there are 2 places I like to fly: on the "Heitersberg" near Spreitenbach - there are some big fields and only a few houses. Of course there are pedestrians and people who walk with their dog, but the fields are big. Maybe they will look, but I never had serious problems there. I will post if I find another places, I am pretty new to FPV racing and I am always trying new places to find the perfect spot!
Cheerz Icarusz. Thanks for the link Icarusz Finding a good place to fly is definitely the hardest part of the hobby I think. Made me a bit nervous. I think it's allowed to fly on public places like this but I'm not totally certain.
The police man drove off after a short while, so I guess it's ok. Need more practice to fly there though, I lost 4 props there last time I went. Hey there! I'm quite new to the business. I live in Gretzenbach, that's between Aarau and Olten. In my neighbor town there is a beautiful park from the old Bally company, you remember, shoes and stuff.
It's not good for racing but for a relaxing Sunday evening flight it's almost perfect! I'm gonna film it tomorrow so you can see. Wow, there are other pilots in Aargau! I am flying in Nussbaumen.
