The original Kershaw County Council on Aging constitution states the organization's purpose is "to do the things that may be necessary, proper, or advantageous to promote the welfare of the aging population of Kershaw County. Our facilities in Bethune, Camden, and Lugoff are the place to be for our top of the line programs for seniors.
We provide daily exercise, activities, and lunch to keep our community's most valuable members engaged every day. Some of our programs include:. A Matter of Balance — workshop teaching fall prevention. Meals On Wheels — nutrition service to homebound seniors.

The Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program SFMNP provides low-income seniors with coupons that can be exchanged for eligible foods fruits, vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs at farmers' markets, roadside stands, and community-supported agriculture CSA programs.
