Quality roads and sidewalks are essential to keeping our community connected. It is important that Pittsfield continues to systematically maintain and repair roads throughout the Township, as well as expand non-motorized transportation infrastructure, such as bike lanes.
Pittsfield Partnership will support measures that make our roads safe for all users—not just cars, but also for bikes, buses, and pedestrians. Improving road safety while allocating for non-motorized transportation will not only better our community, but also put us closer to our sustainability goals. Basic services are the bedrock of our Township government. That means making sure that our infrastructure is of high quality and is well maintained, and that means balancing our budget so that taxpayer dollars are put to efficient use.
Service delivery should be efficient, with consistent trash and recycling services, quality police and fire services, proper water management, and more. Most importantly, Township government should be accessible, with plenty of resources for residents to follow the news of Township Hall and to get involved in our community.
One of the more underrated aspects of Pittsfield is our vast network of parks and greenspace. The Preserving Pittsfield Master Plan promises to continue these strides, with additional investments in parks and recreation activities to make Pittsfield a livable and healthy community.
Pittsfield Partnership looks to build upon the Master Plan by further encouraging cooperation between disparate units of government and residents to better our park system, undertake improvements to parks and recreation services with equity firmly in mind, and more. Pittsfield Partnership is committed to maintaining budget discipline, spending wisely, and growing responsibly into the future. We look forward to continuing improvements such as expanded tax payment options, access financial literacy programs, and updated Township software programs so that our finances are handled efficiently.
