We went to the penthouse a couple times for drinks and the diner once for breakfast and everything was really delicious.

But then La Defense is pretty impenetrable by car so I shouldn't have been surprised. Finally made it to reception to be greeted by a lot of smiling faces and the news that my room had been upgraded. The room itself I had no idea what it had been upgraded from was great - big double bed, plenty of space, soft towels. I tried the TV but there were only the usual channels. It would be nice and perhaps expected in an hotel like this to have a smart TV so I could login to my accounts but no.
