The aim of the article is to determine the definitional scope of social policy and to analyze the directions, instruments and factors that affect the nature of social policy in the field of internal security. The main research problem is the question: What solutions and programs in the field of social policy can improve social security?
The paper presents the main hypothesis, which assumes that effective solutions in the field of social policy can have a positive impact on improving social security.
An additional hypothesis states that programs supporting people at risk of social exclusion, such as social benefits, activation programs or construction of social housing, can reduce the level of crime and violence in society. In each country, the defense system has a significant impact on the formulation of social policy.
What counts is the political situation in the country, whether the defense system is strong and whether there is a possibility of an attack from a neighboring country. The national defense system affects the formulation of social policy in two ways.
First, because a large part of the national income is spent on the defense sector, it is impossible to adopt social programs without the necessary financial support for the adoption and implementation of social policies. Secondly, the government has to devote a lot of attention to the defense sector, which is why it remains socially neglected.
