An East Stroudsburg University student was allegedly using the Web for more than just studying. Corey Jackson , 21, was busted for a string of robberies set up through the online classified site Craigslist. Jackson, a Philly native, attends the small state school located in the Poconos. The year-old was arraigned Tuesday in Northampton County on charges including robbery and simple assault. Jackson used the Web site to post bogus sale ads and then robbed the people who responded or offered to buy items and simply stole them instead, investigators said.
Jackson would meet his victims and attack them with pepper spray before making off with the cash or jewelry, police said. After getting the cash Jackson allegedly doused the man in pepper spray, snatched back the computer and kept the money, said The Express-Times.
