Granted, January always feels like a long month--mainly because of the weather. But, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking January, felt it lasted 10 years.
Oh sure, there were winter storms--but in Florida? No, there were plenty of other occurrences that made for a crummy month. You start with the horrific terrorist attack in New Orleans only three hours into the New Year.
Then, there were the destructive wildfires in southern California. As if January didn't have enough tragedy, the month ended with terrible plane crashes in Washington, D.
Indications are February could be just as crummy: Punxutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, meaning six more weeks of winter. There's one event that should have made January a little more tolerable--another Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl march.
