Can't load anything in the QMB. Updated through Steam. Game won't start. I keep getting a message stating Windows couldn't find the. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same error. Tried to get help from Steam, but as usual I couldn't understand what they were doing.
I tried Windows; they stated there was some problem they were working on. As usual, I couldn't get any farther than that. What my computer shows seems to have the same issue, but I don't have the error list. My game's bin doesn't even have an. Any ideas? Are we the only two? They can't even help themselves. Did you run any anti virus stuff in the background? If so, deactivate it and reinstall the game. See if this works.
Thanks for your response. An anti virus program, Malwarebytes, kept grabbing the Il I figured out, as you suggested, that I had to restore and allow. That solved the problem. This morning I fired up IL-2 and it began updating. A short time later it completed but when I clicked Play my MalwareBytes said there was something malicious. My only option given was to remove it. I was leery that it might remove or permanently block some feature of IL-2 so I disabled MalwareBytes I thought it might just be a false positive as this had never happened before after updating or starting the game.
I re-clicked Play and got this message:. Dismissing the message caused the Launcher to close. Also, the usual info about version and links to the site were not present. I ran the exe and quickly it was done. Running the Launcher gave me the same message as above. Also there was now no il2. I sent a Support ticket but knowing it might take a while I decided that since the game wasn't starting I would just delete and reinstall the complete game.
