A Peep show is in English, a show seen through an opening. The meaning is broader and refers to a show live or photographic seen through an opening for one observer at a time. In French, however, it refers more specifically erotic or pornographic performances striptease or sexual situations. In Pigalle, some bars , as well as sex-shop, offer this kind of entertainment. The Peep Show began appearing in the s when Pigalle rallied all the underworld of the city. But it was in that the amount of erotic bars increases with the appearance of pornographic movies.
