Before covid and those two years that took us five, that shattered our industry and the existence of the pieces created during that time. Before exposing my transidentity publicly and living in the world from a radically different position as a trans woman. A not really cis man, a non binary person with a feminine gender expression, a social deviant who wondered about gender expression, the binary construction of gender identities, how they are a basis for the maintenance of our social order as well as for the relationships of dominations and violence.
With the desire to sabotage them and specifically at that moment to sabotage a form of hegemonic masculinity — of domination in order to move towards more equality and justice. It is a historical object that is still relevant today and the questions they raised have entered the public space.
I live them and will formulate them differently now and in the future, just like my collaborators who have also changed. It is the result of a collaboration with a whole team that gave it its background and final form.
It is the result of long and deep sharing with Soa de Muse and Calixto Neto, of our personal, complex and different stories. We come together in play, struggle, joy, humor, pleasure, generosity and sensuality.
