Prosecutors proved Candy Girls offered sexual services midway through an day trial at Liverpool Crown Court. The defendants all denied controlling prostitution for gain and money laundering, until Leon, 34, admitted both charges. Stott, 32, Harrison, 38, and Whiston, 46, then pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the first offence and money laundering. The court heard he now accepted the agency was involved in prostitution, but said he was previously unaware of that fact.
The jury found him not guilty of both charges this afternoon, following around eight hours of deliberation. Karl, of Parkwood Road, Whiston, clasped his hands together, then breathed a sigh of relief as he was discharged from the dock. Karl told the court he left school at 15 with no qualifications and always looked up to his older brother, Leon, who had a car sales business.
