We accept only participants for whom care can be properly provided. Adult day care programs are an invaluable alternative to traditional long-term care placement and provide a safe, secure environment in which to spend all or part of the day. Our program also provides needed support to family caregivers. Carefully selected and appropriate physical exercise can help reduce falls. Meaningful social interaction can improve both mental and physical health and help to prevent or delay cognitive decline.
Consistent outstanding care is the hallmark of our Center. Most of our staff members have served here for more than four years. Our Floor Supervisor is a great favorite and has fifteen years seniority.
Staff attend ongoing in-service training and all staff are CPR certified. The Center features an open floor plan, allowing lots of natural light and room for interaction. Privacy is important to our clients. While we encourage community involvement, we carefully curate those companies and groups who are invited to be involved with our program.
We incorporate cognitive stimulation, socialization, hand eye coordination, and exercise on a daily basis. Center for Adult Day Care participants also enjoy a rich history of of being invited to be involved with ongoing Senior Center activities including music concerts and seasonal events.
Familiar faces always welcome our day care clients! We celebrate all major holidays with a party, decorations, and crafts leading to the event, as well as an annual week-long themed celebration. Clients may participate in our own summer Olympics. We have nutrition education information monthly and the meal plan is prepared by a registered dietician.
