The restaurant was done up in this 's olive green quintessential Italian restaurant theme--very Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra rat pack sort of look. The waitresses and the adjoining "cocktail lounge" completed the look. It was just really, really good Italian food with a take out pizzeria on the front of the store. On Friday and Saturday nights the place was just packed and you had to sometimes wait for a pizza for 45 minutes plus. But were they ever worth the wait!
In high school I remember my mother ordering Toto's pizza for my slumber parties They didn't deliver but it was worth the drive! I am hoping against hope that somehow one of the descendents re-opened in a new location. For my next trip home, it would be so great to treat my daughter to the same terrific pizza that I grew up with Ah, the garlic filled memories Post a Reply.
