Although the girl couldn't provide a description of the vehicle's make, model, or license plate number to authorities, she mentioned having seen it parked near the school a week earlier.
Law enforcement's plate reader results matched surveillance footage of Davis's black Nissan Altima. Investigators from the Fort Lauderdale police reached out to Lauderhill authorities, indicating their investigation into a similar incident involving a man exposing himself to children near a school in Fort Lauderdale.
