Each year links to a PDF sorted by last name and includes the individual's first and last name, maiden and spouse names if applicable, and the date the obituary appeared in the paper. No other data is listed in the index. To see the full obituary, which may include burial information and names of relatives, you can access the newspaper online , if it is available, or come to the library and read the newspaper on microfilm.
If you know the full name and date of death , you can submit an obituary request via mail or email. Obituary requests are free, but please limit requests to no more than 3 at a time. Some Fall River newspapers are available online. These collections are keyword searchable.
We also have text-only access to the Fall River Herald News, present , through Newsbank you will need your library card to log in remotely. Any newspapers that do not fall in this date range must be accessed on microfilm.
