Bad weather first 2 days and few mayor sites still closed due to earthquake in Windows are old so don't stop the noise. Then I moved to nr 6 and it was much better. Staying there you need to be also prepared for coffee, tea and hot water shortages. And those shabby walls make an impression that the owner doesn't want to invest too much in renovation.
Good thing is that hostel is in walking distance from the old town and everything is actually very closed. People are nice and helpful, thanks to the lady at the reception I managed to print a ticket for 2Cellos - without it I wouldn't enter cause they don't have scanners to read a ticket on smartphone screen. But the concert itself was also sad, maybe cause of those strings sound.
I don't know what happened but most likely will visit Zagreb in a few years again and stay at some better place. Check Availability. The room was ready by am so I could check in early and leave my luggage.
I have a safety concern and it is that the code to access the main door is the same one to your room door, so unless everyone has a different code for both the main door and their room door which is the same , any of the other residents can basically access your room since everyone shares the same code.
The location is very good, very close to the main attractions. At times, there was a strange noise coming from the patio. Overall, decent experience. I learned that it was a famous hotel and stayed there for 2 nights.
